Motoscope classic

Device doesn’t power on

Red cable to +12V and black cable to ground.
--> the motoscope should now illuminate the LCD display.

LCD-Display is showing black bars

It is possible that the contrast of the device is not correctly set.
To change the contrast, please see the manual chapter 12.2.
Attention: It is possible to go through the settings (after 6 comes 0).
This can result in the display not showing anything.
If that happens, please just continue to change the contrast until the display shows something.

If the contrast settings don’t change anything, the device might be defective.

Speed indicator

Red cable to +12V and black cable to ground.
To enter the setup menu, change the display to SPEED. Then tap and hold the green cable against ground for 3 seconds to open the menu.
In the Setup-Menu: param. CIRC to 2000 and ImpW to 1 or ‚Reset all‘.
To navigate through the setup, tap the green cable against ground.
Exit the setup menu. And change the display to SPEED.
Now tap the orange cable against ground/plus.
A velocity should be shown
Depending on when (+12V/ground) the device shows a velocity, the speed sensor must be connected to serve that condition.

Tachometer (LCD-Display)

Red cable to +12V and black cable to ground.
The Device should initialize/boot now.
Switch the display to RPM tapping the green cable against ground (as fast as possible)
Now tap the white cable against ground/plus. A RPM should be shown.
If there is no RPM shown while carrying out the test device might be defective.

Needle (RPM) is not moving chronoclassic & motoscope classic

Red cable to +12V and black cable to ground.
Now tap the yellow cable against ground/plus. The needle should move now.
If the needle is not moving while carrying out the test the device might be defective.

Needle (Velocity) is not moving chronoclassic speedo & motoscope classic speedo

Red cable to +12V and black cable to ground.
To enter the setup menu change the display to SPEED.Then tap and hold the green cable against ground for 3 seconds to open the menu.
In the Setup-Menu: param. CIRC to 2000 and ImpW to 1 or ‚Reset all‘.
To navigate through the setup tap the green cable against ground.
Exit the setup and tap the white cable against ground/plus (As fast as possible).
The needle should move now.
--> If the needle is not moving while tapping to round or +12V the device might be defective.

Oil pressure switch and red warning light

Red cable to +12V and black cable to ground.
White/green cable to negative & white/yellow to ground.
The red LED should light up.
To use the red warning light the white/yellow and the white/green cable must be connected.
