Testing the mo.unit

mo.unit blue/basic

In general:
  • It is not possible to measure the outputs of the mo.unit with a voltmeter, since the mo.unit uses semiconductor technology. Therefore, the outputs will always read a certain amount of voltage.
  • To test the outputs, please use any load such as indicators.

Device doesn’t power on:

  • +12V cable of the battery to BAT and Ground cable of the battery to GND.
  • The LED’s of the mo.unit should flash now for approx. 2-3 seconds.
  • After the flashing stops, Connect 12v+ to the LOCK input of the mo.unit.
  • The LED’s should now show a round-robin, and then the IGNITION output LED should light up.
  • If the test was successful, connect all the in- and outputs and check their functionality.
Reset mo.unit
  • Hold down the horn and switch on the ignition. (If that doesn’t work try switching on the ignition and press the horn 3 times within 1 second after switching on)
  • Hold down Start and Horn until all LED’s switch off. 
  • The mo.unit will now reset itself and recalibrate all outputs.
mo.unit blue connect Bluetooth
  • Install the newest version of the mo.ride app from Google-Play or App-Store on your smartphone.
  • Create a new mo.ride account and add/create a new motorcycle to your garage.
  • Hold down the horn and switch on the ignition. (If that doesn’t work try switching on the ignition and press the horn 3 times within 1 second after switching on)
  • Hold down the Start button for 10 seconds until the LED’s starting a round robin.
  • Now you should be able to connect to the mo.unit via app.
  • The mo.unit should be visible and able to connect.
    --> If you can’t connect, please repeat the steps and follow the hints in the app.
