mo.unit - Power consumption

The mo.unit basic consumes about 0.5 mA in standby and the mo.unit blue about 1 mA. If you don't use the motorcycle for a longer period of time the mo.unit should be disconnected from the battery. First disconnect the negative pole of the battery, then the positive pole. To reconnect the mo.unit proceed in reverse order.

Problem:
mo.unit high power consumption

If the mo.unit consumes too much power in standby mode, the following should be checked:

  • Ignition & all consumers switched off

Check that all consumers that are connected to the mo.unit and switched off correctly.

  • Check wiring

Are there consumers which are connected in parallel to the mo.unit?

If a multimeter is available, the current can be measured with it:

  • Disconnect BAT to battery positive pole
  • Set multimeter to current measurement and connect in between

A multimeter must be designed to measure current.
After switching off the ignition, the mo.unit will reach quiescent current after a few seconds.
