mo.tri - compatible models & connection

It should first be checked which model year the motorcycle is from. The model year is coded in the chassis number at 11 places (counted from the left). Example "8" = 2008, "A" = 2010, "B" = 2011, "D" = 2013 etc. The date of first registration in the vehicle documents is not the same as the model year.

Llist of the models supported below:

  • Scrambler model years: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 (possibly 2016 with matching BUS and plug)
  • Thurxton model years: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 (possibly 2016 with suitable BUS and plug)
  • Bonneville T100/ SE model years: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 (possibly 2016 with matching BUS and plug)
  • Thunderbird Storm Model Years: 2012
  • Street Triple Model Year: 2010
  • Speed Triple Model Year: 2012

Connect:
The plugs are supplied with cables which have to be connected to the mo.tri.
Depending on which device is used the cables have to be connected to the terminals of the mo.tri. To do this follow the wiring table in the user manual. Incorrect wiring will lead to malfunctions. The connectors of the mo.tri must be inserted in the correct orientation in the vehicle's connector. Pin1 of the plug must contact Pin1 of the socket.

Problems:
Motor does not start

  • Check plug orientation (plug inserted upside down)
  • Connectors must be completely plugged in
  • Check wiring according to the wiring table (see mo.tri manual)

Speed or rpm is displayed incorrectly

  • Transfer ImpE, ImpW and Circ from the mo.tri manual

Control lamps flash:
Some of the control lights are multifunctional, a detailed description can be found in the mo.tri user manual.

  • Simulation of an alarm system (LED flashes when the ignition is switched off)
  • Excessive temperature
  • Error memory
