motoscope tiny, vintage, speedster - Control lamps defective

The control lamps must be connected as described in the operating instructions, some require a plus signal and some a minus signal.

To test the inputs for their functionality, the blue, white, purple and yellow cable must be disconnected from the wiring harness.

  • Switch on the motoscope (connect red and brown cable to +12V and black cable to ground)

The motoscope should now perform the function test by moving the pointer to 200 and back to 0.

Now test all inputs individually:

  • For the high beam indicator light hold the blue cable to +12V.
  • For the neutral control lamp hold the white cable to ground.
  • For the warning lamp, hold the purple cable to ground.
  • For the turn signal lamp, connect the yellow cable to +12V.

If a lamp does not light up during the test, the input or the LED of the motoscope may be defective. In this case please contact the motogadget support team.

Problems:
Main beam indicator lamp glows when main beam is switched off

  • Ground contact at the illuminant (H4 bulb) insufficient
  • Contact resistance e.g. at plug contacts too high
