motoscope pro - control lamps defective

This article only refers to the motoscope pro using the Breakout Box A or B.

Check if the control lamps are connected to the inputs of the Breakout Box as described in the user manual, some require a plus signal and some a minus signal.

Check in the settings of the motoscope pro whether the Breakout Box is recognized.
- switch to SPEED on the large screen below.
- Press and hold the menu key until the setup menu is reached.
- Navigate to the menu item System.
- change to menu item bob.
If BOB 0.00 is written here, the Breakout Box is not properly connected or defective. In this case check the connections again and if the problem persists contact the motogadget support team.

In order to test the inputs for their functionality, all cables of the inputs must be removed: OIL SW., TURN R, TURN L, H. BEAM and NEUTRAL from the Breakout Box. For the test, we recommend a long cable which is stripped at both ends by about 1 cm.

Switch on the ignition, the motoscope pro should now do the function test.

Test the inputs individually with the cable:

Input OIL SW.

Connect one end to input OIL SW, the other end to ground/GND.
-> The red control lamp should now light up.

Input TURN R and TURN L

Connect one end of the cable to input TURN R and the other end to terminal +12V of the Breakout Box.
Then connect one end of the cable to input TURN L and the other end to terminal +12V of the Breakout Box.
-> In both cases the left green control lamp should light up.

Input H.BEAM
One end to the H.BEAM input and the other end to the +12V terminal of the Breakout Box.
-> Now the blue control lamp should light up.

NEUTRAL Input
One end of the cable to the NEUTRAL input and the other end to GND/GND of the Breakout Box.
-> The right green control lamp should now light up.

If a control lamp does not light up during the test, there is probably a defect at the input or the LED in the device. In this case contact our support team.

Fault finding on the vehicle side:

If the test is successful, there could be something wrong with the wiring of the motorcycle. Therefore test all signal lines with a multimeter.

If there are still errors please contact the motogadget support team.
