motoscope pro - Oil & water temperature sensor

This article only refers to motoscope pro in combination with the Breakout Box B.

To measure oil and water temperature, we offer the sensors with different threads. You can find the sensors on the respective product page of the used motoscope. It is essential to find out which thread is available on the motorcycle, this can be found out with the help of the assembly manual.
Only correct measuring results can be guaranteed with the motogadget temperature sensors.

If a wrong temperature value is displayed, please proceed as follows:

  • check-in the settings if °C or °F is set
  • check if the temperature sensor is connected correctly
  • when measuring the water temperature, the motoscope classic T1 must be set to H2O

Check functionality:

  • Check the resistance value of the sensor using a multimeter
  • Room temperature (approx. 21 °C) approx. 1100 Ohm against mass

With the sensor, an exact measurement can only be guaranteed from 40 °C / 104 °F!

  • 40 °C resistance value 560 Ohm to ground
  • 100 °C Resistance 69 Ohm to ground

If the resistance value deviates strongly, the sensor is probably broken and should be replaced.
The connection of the temperature sensor should also be checked again, a dirty thread can strongly affect the ground connection.

If the problem still cannot be solved, don't hesitate to get in touch with the motogadget support team.
