The mo.can J1850 Deutsch connectors do not fit

All Deutsch connectors we ship have a different KEY than Harley-Davidson connectors.
For all Deutsch connectors, the plastic insert on the vehicle side must be removed with a small screwdriver.

For TwinCam connectors, the 12 pin header on the white glue dot on the motogadget plug must be opposite the bulge on the HD connector.

Models:

  1. Twin Cam engine from 2004 / connectors DEUTSCH and dashboard on the tank.
  2. Harley-Davidson Sportster from 2004 with connectors from DEUTSCH (DEUTSCH connectors are always marked DEUTSCH)
  3. Harley-Davidson Sportster from 2004 with connectors from Molex (MOLEX connectors are white inside and are not marked with MOLEX anywhere)
  4. Harley-Davidson V-ROD VRSC from 2004

Not compatible with models using HD LAN such as Softail from model 2011 onwards, all rocker models, Dyna models, XL from 2014 onwards and all models with H-D LAN or which have the instruments on the triple clamp.

The following data is collected by the mo.can j1850.

  • Speed
  • RPM
  • Control lamp MIL (Check Engine Warning)
  • Control lamp turn signal
  • Control lamp high beam
  • Control lamp oil pressure
  • Tank reserve indicator light (if available#9
  • Control lamp Alarm ON

All analog motoscope and the motoscope mini can be used.
This device is not compatible with the motoscope pro! Therefore, a msp Breakout Box j1850 is required.
