mo.blaze - flashing too fast

This problem usually occurs when the original turn signals are replaced by LED turn signals. LED's have a lower power consumption than light bulbs, so a conventional flasher relay increases the flashing frequency.

If the motorcycle has been converted from light bulbs to LED turn signals, a load independent turn signal relay or power resistors are required.

The easiest way is to use a load independent flasher relay like the mo.flash or mo.wave. In the respective operating instructions you can find example circuits and installation instructions for the flasher relays. Therefore it should be checked in advance if the existing flasher unit can be replaced. If the flasher unit is installed in the vehicle control system, only the use of power resistors can help.
This is only possible if the original blinkers have a higher power consumption than the new ones.

If power resistors should be installed, an explanation can be found in the article linked below. "mo.blaze - power resistors"

When using a mo.unit:
If the indicators are flashing too fast, in many cases it is due to a not / wrongly calibrated mo.unit blue / basic.
To calibrate the outputs all loads must be connected.
- Enter setup menu (hold down horn and switch on ignition or switch on ignition and press horn 3 times in quick succession)
- Leave setup menu (keep horn pressed until normal operation is switched over)
The mo.unit will now switch on all outputs one after the other for about 1 second to measure the currents.
After calibration the indicators should flash in the correct cycle.

If this is not the cause of the error, try the following:
Check the wiring of the turn signals, the front and rear turn signals must be connected in parallel. If they are inadvertently connected in series, they will light up darker.

If power resistors are installed, check again if the OHM / resistor value is correct and if they are connected correctly. See the article "mo.blaze - power resistors" for a detailed description.

Test the indicators one by one by connecting them directly to the battery. All mo.blaze indicators should light up permanently without flickering.

Check the flasher unit for proper operation. The best way to do this is to temporarily connect the old flashers.
